Chaplaincy

Chaplaincy at MACC

Operating as a vital expression of the College’s Christian ethos and supported by the Director of Wellbeing, the MACC Chaplain partners with families to build a Christ-centred learning environment. Anchored in the College values, including Fairness & Compassion and Mission & Service, the Chaplain provides holistic pastoral care, spiritual guidance, and a reassuring presence to help Prep to Year 12 students discover their God-given potential and navigate life’s challenges.

The Pastoral Pillars at MACC

Offering a confidential, compassionate “listening ear” for students experiencing personal, social, or spiritual distress, the Chaplain provides a safe, grounded space within the vibrant life of our College.

The Chaplain facilitates group resilience programs, supporting Year Coordinators, and contributing to the spiritual fabric of the College through Chapel services and active “Faith in Action” initiatives.

The Chaplain works seamlessly alongside the Director of Wellbeing, school counselors, and external care professionals. This ensures students receive smooth, coordinated assistance when clinical mental health or deeper therapeutic support is required.

Providing an additional adult role model who strengthens the wider Macarthur community, the Chaplain stands as a supportive anchor for parents and staff alike, modeling a heart for service that inspires students to look beyond themselves.

The Cross Carriers
The Cross Carriers (TCC) is a Christ-centred lunchtime community for primary and high school students who want to learn more about Jesus and grow in their faith. Through fellowship, Bible discussions, prayer, and meaningful conversations, students are encouraged to deepen their relationship with Christ and explore how to live out their faith in everyday life. TCC also provides a safe space for students to ask questions, support one another, and build strong Christian friendships.
