Missions at MACC
At Mount Annan Christian College, we desire to see each student prepared for works of service. We have an important role to “equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up” (Ephesians 4:12). This is part of the process to help students discover their God-given purpose in life and to do those “good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” (Ephesians 2:10).
Students opt in by expressing their desire to serve the Lord faithfully, to gain broader experience in a different geographical and cultural region, and to bring back specific skills that bless others in the MACC community and beyond. They have opportunities each day to learn from God’s word and reflect on his will. The purpose of MACC Missions is to provide opportunities for students in Years 10, 11 and 12 from Mount Annan Christian College to serve others in a residential mission to a regional NSW centre or an international setting, demonstrating the love of Christ through a variety of training and practical service activities.

Regional and International Missions
MACC Missions build on-going relationships in communities that are geographically and culturally different. As students step out of their comfort zone on mission, they find it is a very rewarding time of growth and service.
Bali, Indonesia
Students are involved in a church located in Denpasar. It is a vibrant, bilingual (English/Indonesian) church focused on impacting the local community and expats, with Sunday services and a dedicated ministry for youth and young adults aged 12–24 that focuses on mentorship, sport, music, and spiritual growth. They also have service activities while experiencing a foreign culture.
Ridgecrest, Central West of NSW
A Christian Education and Convention Centre at Mumbil in the Central West of NSW, about 320km northwest of MACC. It is a community that seeks to do all “to the glory of God,” and has links with Wellington Christian School. Special attraction: Wellington Caves tour.
Griffith, South-West NSW
Students travel 570km southwest of Sydney to visit Salvation Army Food Pantry, providing meals for the needy, and Verity Christian College to help students in various activities.
Participating in missions has been one of the most rewarding and meaningful experiences of my life. My trip to Bali opened my eyes to the beauty of building ongoing relationships with people whose lives look incredibly different to mine. Going on a mission trip exposed me to the power of Christianity, as it showed me that God’s love knows no limits. It taught invaluable lessons about life and helping others.

Christian Studies
From Prep to Year 12, students at MACC are taught to put Christian values into practice through age-appropriate Bible teaching that deepens as they progress through the College. Students are encouraged to grow in their faith, explore God’s Word, ask meaningful questions, and develop a deeper understanding of how they can follow Jesus’ example in their everyday lives.
Chaplaincy
At MACC, our Chaplain plays an important role in supporting the spiritual and emotional wellbeing of our students. Working alongside families and the Director of Wellbeing, the Chaplain helps foster a Christ-centred learning environment where every student feels known, valued, and supported.
