K-6 Teaching Positions

Commencing Term 1 2021

An exciting opportunity exists to join our growing school community at Mount Annan Christian College in 2021. We are seeking qualified, passionate, engaging, innovative and dynamic Early Childhood and/or Primary School Teachers to fill a number of teaching positions across our Primary School.

The positions:

  • Permanent Full Time Early Childhood and/or Primary Class Teachers
  • Temporary Full Time Primary Teachers (Maternity leave 12 month contracts)

The successful candidates will:

  • be enthusiastic and hardworking, demonstrating a willingness to learn, take initiative, have a positive attitude and be flexible.
  • have an understanding of STEM based curriculums for Primary Schools and a willingness to integrate technology into classroom practice.
  • have a willingness to learn about and support the College’s developing Outdoor Learning programs.

  • be prepared to teach within any stage across K-6.

Salary and conditions are in accordance with the 2019 MACC Teachers Enterprise Agreement.

Secondary Teacher Positions (7-12) HSIE and Science

Due to the growth of the College, we are seeking to appoint innovative, energetic and collaborative professionals to teach within the HSIE and Science Faculties. Suitably qualified professionals who have current Stage 6 Business Studies, Legal Studies or Geography experience are invited to apply for the HSIE position. Suitably qualified professionals who have current Stage 6 Physics, Chemistry or Biology experience are invited to apply for the Science position. The ideal applicants will have a dynamic proactive approach to teaching, immersion into College life, enthusiasm for teaching young people, with professional values and experience in the Faculty area to the HSC level.

Science Teacher Position:

  • Demonstrate experience in teaching Physics, Chemistry or Biology to the HSC level.

HSIE Teacher Position:

  • Demonstrate experience in teaching Business Studies, Legal Studies or Geography to the HSC level and Stage 4 and 5 Geography and/or History
  • Drive academic programs and results in Science leading up to the HSC

IT Support Traineeship

Mount Annan Christian College (MACC) is a co-educational Prep to Year 12 Christian College in the Macarthur region. MACC is highly valued for its nurturing, caring community, and is recognised as a leader in the implementation of innovation in education, with a focus on developing the potential within each child and positioning them to ENJOY a life of purpose.

We are currently seeking a full-time IT Support Trainee to join our Administration Team. This job will suit a proactive, self-directed and motivated individual who thrives in a fast paced, dynamic environment with a focus on excellence in customer service and support.

This entry-level opportunity is suited to someone who is highly-motivated, technologically minded and is keen to pursue a career in the IT industry. It is a full time, twenty-four-month placement that will provide formal on the job training

The successful candidate will complete a Certificate III in Information, Digital Media and Technology over a twenty-four-month period and will be allocated a dedicated Skillset Consultant who will support you throughout your Traineeship.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Year 12 HSC or equivalent
  • Genuine interest in Information Technology.
  • Knowledge of Front of House Sound and Audio Visual Equipment and Programs
  • Basic knowledge of PC components and operations.
  • Basic knowledge of MS office software.
  • Knowledge of email and other internet applications.
  • Good interpersonal skills and experience managing difficult situations.
  • Committed to the study component of the Traineeship

Personal Abilities and Attributes

  • Demonstrates a high level of ability in taking responsibility for own actions.
  • Demonstrates a high level of sensitivity in dealings with key stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise work according to strict guidelines.
