EXPERIENCED VOCAL TEACHER 

Immediate start

The College is seeking to appoint a Music Tutor who has the vision and passion to help grow and develop the Performing Arts at MACC and who are willing to actively support the co-curricular program and ethos of the College.  Formal Music qualifications and experience are essential. Successful candidates should be enthusiastic and self-motivated and looking for a long-term commitment

Experienced Vocal Teacher and Accompanist (Private and shared lessons)

More specifically, the successful candidate will have:

  • A passionate and fun approach to introducing students to the world of music
  • Previous experience in lesson preparation for students in from Prep-12
  • Strong administration and communication skills
  • The ability to prepare students for exams, performances, concerts and competitions
  • The understanding to relate well to students, parents and College staff
  • Qualities of honesty, flexibility and patience
  • Capability to report on student learning and assign home learning tasks 
  • Strong punctuality 
  • Thorough understanding of vocal pedagogical techniques
  • Competence in teaching various styles such as Classical, Musical Theatre, Jazz and Contemporary/Pop styles

A current WWCC approval number is required. This is a College focused on implementing the NSW Child Safety Standards.

MAINTENANCE / BUILDING WORKER

Mount Annan Christian College offers all staff the opportunity to further develop in their role and work in a school that has grown significantly to be among the very best. 

We are currently seeking a new member to join our maintenance team who has previous experience in the maintenance industry. It requires a mature person with initiative and experience with the ability to prioritise their own workload, as well as contributing to a high performing team. 

The Maintenance worker is responsible to ensure that the College’s internal building projects are completed and to work as part of the maintenance team. 

Overall, the role will be responsible as part of a team for the following areas:

  • Perform minor building, plumbing, electrical and painting repairs as required
  • Oversee maintenance projects under the instruction of the Property Manager
  • Provide assistance in building projects as required by the Property Manager 
  • Transport Children to and from School and excursions in a roster, if required. 

The role will require a person with strong  time management skills and the ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects with conflicting deadlines.

This will be a full-time position.

The successful candidates will:

  • Have a minimum 5 years building experience &/or previous experience as a handyman or maintenance worker
  • Hold or be willing to obtain an HC Drivers Licence. The College can provide appropriate training to obtain the licence for the suitable candidate.
  • Be enthusiastic and hardworking, demonstrating a willingness to learn, take initiative, have a positive attitude and be flexible. 
  • Have strong communication skills and computer literacy.
  • Be a committed Christian with a strong understanding of your faith and involvement in their local Church.
  • An ability to assent to the College Statement of Faith.
  • A Working with Children Check is required.

Previous experience working in a school would be highly regarded.

Primary (Years K-6) Learning Support Teacher ǀ Permanent Part Time 0.6

(For immediate start)

The College has achieved a well-deserved reputation for not only graduating great students but developing great teachers and educational leaders.

Due to the growth of the College, we are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and enthusiastic Learning Support teacher to assist students and teaching staff in our Primary years. Suitably qualified professionals who have enthusiasm for and/or experience in working with students with diverse learning needs are invited to apply for the position. More specifically, it will be advantageous if the successful candidate has experience with assessments and intervention programs such as the YARC and MaquLIit/Minilit programs. Knowledge of the NCCD, the multi-tiered system of support and the universal design for learning is also beneficial. The ideal applicant will have a dynamic proactive approach to teaching, be willing to immerse themselves into College life and possess an enthusiasm for supporting young children.

 

The successful candidate will have the ability to:

  • Provide input into programs to meet the physical, emotional, social and intellectual needs of the children
  • Provide rich, stimulating, age appropriate experiences that promote, encourage and foster a sense of curiosity, learning and independence
  • Participate in and contribute to the development, evaluation and reflection of the programme, including documentation in journals, day books and projects in line with the Teachers Program
  • Collaborate with teachers to adjust classroom programs and develop a team teaching model in classes in order to meet the learning needs of these students
  • Provide resources and information for teachers with students with special needs in their classes
  • Contribute to the NCCD process, particularly around moderation and collection of evidence
  • Exhibit well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and engage with students, parents, staff and outside agencies
  • Experience in assessing individual student needs, designing, and facilitating the implementation of Individual Plans, communicating with parents, and supporting classroom teachers to assist all students to reach their full potential
  • Write and update IEPs for students in consultation with class teachers, relevant specialists, parents, and Stage Coordinators
  • Perform, relevant testing (YARC, Phonic Screeners, Benchmarking and SENA for Numeracy etc)
  • Present appropriate tertiary qualifications, including Special Education qualification and/or experience in the Learning Support area
  • Assent to the College’s Statement of Faith

Secondary (Year 7-12) Learning Support Teacher ǀ Full Time Permanent

Due to the growth of the College, we are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and enthusiastic Learning Support teacher to assist students and teaching staff in Secondary. Suitably qualified professionals who have enthusiasm for and/or experience in working with students with diverse learning needs are invited to apply for the position. More specifically, it will be advantageous if the successful candidate has experience with assessments and intervention programs such as YARC and MultiLit. Knowledge of the NCCD, the multi-tiered system of support and the universal design for learning is also beneficial. The ideal applicant will have a dynamic proactive approach to teaching, immersion into College life and enthusiasm for supporting young people from Year 7-12.

Responsible to the Learning Support Coordinator and Head of Secondary under the direction of the Headmaster.
