PRIMARY & SECONDARY CASUAL TEACHING POSITIONS

Mount Annan Christian College is seeking qualified, passionate, engaging, innovative and dynamic Primary and Secondary School Teachers to join our Casual Teaching Register.

Bus Driver

Mount Annan Christian College (MACC) is a co-educational Prep to Year 12 Christian College in the Macarthur region. MACC is highly valued for its nurturing, caring community, and is recognised as a leader in the implementation of innovation in education, with a focus on developing the potential within each child and positioning them for lives of purpose.

We are seeking someone to take up the role as a trusted bus driver for the morning and afternoon school children bus runs. 

Important features are to be able to work as part of a team, however, also be capable of working alone when required. All applicants should have sound knowledge of WHS practices and will be required to adhere to school policies.

Interacting with students and teachers, the applicant should have strong communication skills.

This is a part-time position working 22 – 27 hours per week in total as the College bus driver in a split shift. The bus driver position is not required during school holiday periods and will be on stand down at that time.

Skills & Qualifications

  • MR Drivers licence is essential. MACC can provide appropriate training to obtain the license.
  • Previous experience bus driving students is ideal
  • A current First Aid Certificate is required and should be included in your application.

A Working With Children Check is required.

Science Teacher Position (7-12) ǀ Permanent Full Time

Commencing Term 1 2023 (or by negotiation)

The College has achieved a well-deserved reputation for not only graduating great students but developing great teachers and educational leaders.

Due to the growth of the College, we are seeking to appoint an innovative, energetic and collaborative professional to teach within the Science Faculty. Suitably qualified professionals who have current Stage 6 Physics, Chemistry or Biology experience or enthusiastic University graduates are invited to apply for the Science position. The ideal applicant will have a dynamic proactive approach to teaching, immersion into College life, enthusiasm for teaching young people, with professional values and experience to the HSC level. 

Ensuring high-quality educational outcomes, to meet the highest possible standards for our students is part of our values and ethos. Teachers should be committed to their own professional development and expanding work practices to fulfil these values.

More specifically, the successful candidate will have the ability to:

  • Demonstrate experience in teaching Physics, Chemistry or Biology to the HSC level.
  • Drive academic programs and results in Science leading up to the HSC
  • Work collaboratively within a team to contribute in the further development of the Faculty
  • Contribute to an innovative educational direction that exists within the College
  • Drive academic improvement in the area of literacy and numeracy from Year 7-12
  • Differentiate in the classroom to promote growth for each individual student
  • Implement digital literacy with regard to application of pedagogy
  • Support and enable staff members and students to achieve their best potential
  • Demonstrate exemplary organisational and communication skills
  • Present appropriate tertiary qualifications, including teaching qualifications
  • Assent to the College’s Statement of Faith
  • Exhibit well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and engage with students, parents and staff

Secondary Teachers’ Aide (7-12) Part Time Permanent

Commencing Term 2, 2023

Mount Annan Christian College offers teachers and leaders the opportunity to further develop as professionals and work in a school that has grown to be among the very best. The College has achieved a well-deserved reputation for not only graduating great students but developing great teachers and educational leaders.

Due to the growth of the College, we are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and enthusiastic Teachers’ Aide to assist teaching staff in our Secondary school. Suitably qualified professionals who have enthusiasm for and/or experience in working with students with Diverse Learning Needs are invited to apply for the position. More specifically, it will be advantageous if the successful candidate has experience with assessments and intervention programs such as YARC and MultiLit. Knowledge of the NCCD, the multi-tiered system of support and the universal design for learning is also beneficial. The ideal applicant will have a dynamic proactive approach to teaching, immersion into College life and enthusiasm for supporting young people from Year 7-12.

The successful candidate will have the ability to:

  • Provide input into programs to meet the physical, emotional, social and intellectual needs of the children
  • Provide rich, stimulating, age appropriate experiences that promote, encourage and foster a sense of curiosity, learning and independence
  • Assist in preparation and maintenance of resources to provide learning experiences
  • Implement appropriate positive guidance strategies and procedures, in consultation with the Learning Support Coordinator & classroom teachers
  • Participate in and contribute to the development, evaluation and reflection of the programme, including documentation in journals, day books and projects in line with the Teachers Program
  • Collaborate with teachers to adjust classroom programs and develop a team teaching model in classes in order to meet the learning needs of these students
  • Provide resources and information for teachers with students with special needs in their classes
  • Contribute to the NCCD process, particularly around moderation and collection of evidence
  • Exhibit well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and engage with students, parents and staff
  • Support and enable students to achieve their best potential
  • Demonstrate exemplary organisational and communication skills
  • Present appropriate tertiary qualifications, including Certificate III in Education Support
  • Assent to the College’s Statement of Faith

A current WWCC approval number is required.
